Joy Aether today announces Vocab Ninja 1.1 for iOS and Android, their new vocabulary and spelling edutainment app with a Halloween theme. Players can choose either SAT vocabulary or spelling practice, and questions appear at the top of the screen. Possible answers, written on pumpkins, are tossed into the air from below, and players must touch the pumpkin with the correct answer on it to smash it. EdgeMates: Fun, New Way to Learn Foreign Vocabulary on iPads: Price Drop

Independent developer Bob Dronski today announced that EdgeMates, a puzzle matching game to help learn vocabulary on the iPad offered at a lower price. A series of tiles are created that have vocabulary words on each side. The goal is to place the tiles on the game board so that each word matches up with its translation on the connecting edge.
