Virginia based SCSC releases an update for Scannerz Lite for Mac OS X. Scannerz Lite differs from Scannerz in that it is intended to be used primarily for testing and evaluating the hard drive. Just like it’s big brother Scannerz, Scannerz Lite now offers full support for all CoreStorage related components, including full volume encryption under File Vault 2, Fusion Drives, multiple drive and volume spanning under a single logical volume, as well as full support for Apple RAID. Scannerz is an analysis tool utilizing advanced diagnostic algorithms that analyzes not only the hard drive, but the circuitry supporting the drive. This update now includes full support for CoreStorage based file systems including fully encrypted volumes under Mac OS 10.7 and 10.8 as well as integrated support for Apple RAID configurations. Qoppa has released a Java library version for integration into 3rd party systems, and will integrate this conversion functionality into their existing applications, PDF Studio and PDF Automation Server.
