Joy Aether today announces Vocab Ninja 1.1 for iOS and Android, their new vocabulary and spelling edutainment app with a Halloween theme. Players can choose either SAT vocabulary or spelling practice, and questions appear at the top of the screen. Possible answers, written on pumpkins, are tossed into the air from below, and players must touch the pumpkin with the correct answer on it to smash it. UpsideDown Games has announced the upcoming release of Trunky Learns Letters, a fun new educational app for kids to practice spelling. Trunky, the cute elephant, collects letters while running through the forest while avoiding perilous turtles and trying to catch bonus flowers, all in an effort to spell words. Independent children’s app developer Duck Duck Moose wins two more Parents’ Choice Gold Awards for its mobile apps. Word Wagon and Musical Me both won Parents’ Choice Gold Awards. Word Wagon is a letters and phonics learning app that includes more than 100 words, each with engaging illustrations, animations, and sounds.
