iPad developer to donate 1000 copies of their app to schools

Leading iPad developer xhumans announced plans today to donate 1000 copies of their hit application “The Orchestra” to music schools, conservatories, and music educators across the USA. This is one of the largest charitable applciation giveaways ever undertaken. The California based company said it will give 1000 copies, including free updates, to these organizations free of charge and restrictions. Flurry Announces Privacy First Initiative

Flurry today announced its Privacy First Initiative, aimed at increasing consumer privacy standards in mobile application data collection and targeting. PFI combines a set of product features and usage guidelines to be included in Flurry Analytics and AppCircle services, which provides consumers visibility into collected data and control over how this data is used for targeting and product recommendations. Shakespeare App Hits 1 Million Mark

The Shakespeare application for the Apple iPhone and iPod touch passed the 1 million mark for number of downloads this week. The free Shakespeare application, a cooperative project between Readdle and PlayShakespeare.com, was in the first wave of applications just after Apple launched the iTunes App Store in August 2008.
