SMEStorage today announces iSMEStorage 2.07, an update to their popular multi cloud File Manager for iOS. iSMEStorage, the iOS multi cloud file manager, now features a free CloudDav add-on for all users on purchase. CloudDav adds a WebDav layer over clouds that don’t natively support WebDav such as Google Docs, SkyDrive, DropBox, Amazon S3, and others. This enables user to edit their documents using WebDav editors such as iWork and Office2 HD, even when ISMEStorage is not launched. Continue reading

SMEStorage today announced that its unique CloudDav offering has been updated to support WebDav access to DropBox and Google Storage. CloudDav adds a WebDav access layer to any cloud that SMEStorage supports though its Cloud Gateway, even if the underlying Storage Provider does not support WebDav. Research shows that most small businesses use over 3 information Clouds

Research by SMEStorage shows that on average most small businesses use over 3 information clouds which rises to over 5 when email and social network clouds are included. SMEStorage polled 1000 of its users to understand how many information clouds they use, and also to understand the challenges that they face. Amazon S3 was the most popular storage cloud used for business. Google Docs was the most popular used for documents closely followed by Microsoft SkyDrive. Continue reading

iSMEStorage now supports Windows Live Essentials for iPad and iPhone

iSMEStorage recently updated their Cloud Gateway to support the Microsoft Live Essentials files so that existing, and new users, who use iSMEStorage with SkyDrive will be able to access, manage and collaborate with their Live Essentials files directly using the iSMEStorage application. Microsoft is moving its services toward Live Essentials in which users can nominate files from their local windows machine which are then accessible in a read only mode from MIcrosoft’s SkyDrive web interface.
