Indianapolis based PhoneTransact today introduces the Universal iOS Credit Card Reader. The new reader attaches to the dock connector on all iOS devices including the current and previous versions of the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Full 3DES encryption built in to the device securely encrypts cardholder data. The compatible iMerchant Pro app shows the first and last four digits of the credit card number along with the cardholder name so that the merchant can verify a good credit card swipe. Indie software engineer Oren Meiri today unveils air-Draw 1.1, his latest drawing app for iPhone 4. Powered by the built-in gyroscope of the iPhone 4, air-Draw monitors motion of the device and converts it to strokes in the drawing. The user moves the iPhone as if it is a laser-pen, drawing on an imaginary large canvas suspended in the air. By translating movement to shape, air-Draw enables a new form of creative expression.
