The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Growth, The Right Honourable Vince Cable MP visited Leamington Spa and spoke with video games entrepreneur David Darling CBE, Kwalee CEO, and Codemasters’ co-founder. Darling was personally invited to attend. iOS game developers, Kwalee have announce their second social multiplayer game is under development. The company has put together a brief teaser, featuring Kwalee CEO David Darling’s wife Tanya, available on the Kwalee YouTube channel. Tanya has become a regular face for the company and has really enjoyed being involved in photo and videoshoots. Gobang goes Bang + Win a New iPad

Kwalee has celebrated the release of their first iOS game, Gobang Social, by blowing up and utterly destroying, a brand New iPad. Using high explosives, then a pickaxe, the latest Apple iPad is seen broken up into numerous pieces. The whole exciting event was captured for posterity on video and can be seen on the Kwalee YouTube channel. iPhone game developer set to double development team size

Leamington Spa based publisher Kwalee was set up by industry veteran David Darling just six months ago. Since then they have been building a team to develop their own technology whilst at the same time writing their first game, which will be coming to market soon. Now the foundations are in place and the company can build by creating multiple teams. Kwalee is looking to recruit up to ten experienced game programmers over the coming months, more than doubling the size of the development team. Continue reading
