UK based Digital Heaven today announces DH_GridX and DH_WideSafeX, two brand new free plug-ins for the recently released Final Cut Pro X and Motion 5. DH_GridX creates a customisable grid which is useful for aligning elements on screen. DH_WideSafeX provides 4:3, 14:9 and 16:9 action and title safe areas whilst working in 16:9 aspect ratio sequences. This new version gives the choice of Horizontal, Vertical or Horizontal & Vertical interpolation modes and makes it possible to fix larger dead pixel areas. The interpolation can be changed depending on the shot and there is even a mix control to blend between Horizontal and Vertical modes. A trial version is also available for the first time.
