Independent developer Bob Dronski has announced that EdgeMates, a puzzle matching game to help learn vocabulary on the iPad is now available in French. A series of tiles are created that have vocabulary words on each side. The goal is to place the tiles on the game board so that each word matches up with its translation on the connecting edge. Over 200 words in 11 categories, and 3 levels of difficulty keep users occupied for hours. Also available for Spanish, Italian and Polish. Continue reading

EdgeMates Capitals, a puzzle matching game to help learn geography, is now available on the iPad. A series of tiles are created that have States/Cities/Countries on each side. The goal is to place the tiles on the game board so that each capital matches up with its State or Country on the connecting edge. Unlike other vocabulary apps, the gameplay is fun on its own.
