Freeridecoding today announce SmartBackup 3.3, an update to its alternative lightweight backup, sync and clone application for OS X. SmartBackup syncs multiple source items to a destination folder on an external harddrive, flashdrive or network share, or creates a bootable clone of your system. SmartBackup gives you more control than Time Machine and is easier to set up than most of its competitors. Version 3.3 sports a new iOS inspired UI with many general improvements and bug fixes. Use TextSoap to clean up garbled text in Mail, AppleWorks, BBEdit, TextEdit, or your favorite app that supports OS X Services or AppleScript.
