“Developing iOS 5 Applications” by White and Chudzynski is intended to get new iOS developers started creating apps of their own using iOS 5. The basic concepts needed to get started developing apps are presented within the context of five App development projects. The authors make extensive use of screenshots throughout the development of the projects presented in the iBook chapters so that readers are easily able to understand new concepts and successfully develop the apps described. CodeStore offers Xcode template projects to anyone looking to create an app for iPhone or iPad. The projects have a range of uses, and can be freely modified. No knowledge of the Objective-C programming language is required to create an app using the templates, as the code is already complete. All that is required is the replacement of the example content.
