Electronic seating charts have many advantages over traditional paper seating charts, including the ability to make last minute changes with a minimum of fuss. ‘Real time’ seat assignment for events is now a possibility. lividbox today introduces AirScan 1.0 for iOS, their barcode scanner that can store any scan internally, and/or export it wirelessly to any Mac OS X device using the Bonjour, auto-configuring protocol. The user need only open the app, and their back-facing, primary camera will be activated. Users must frame the shot so that the horizontal red line passes through the entire barcode and then touch the screen.
