DEVONtechnologies LLC enhances OpenMeta support with DEVONthink 2.4.3, improves the independent capture app, Sorter, and allows again to open more than 25 databases simultaneously. DEVONthink captures paper documents from scanners and cameras compliant to OS X’s Image Capture. DEVONthink Pro Office 2.4.3 comes with improved email archiving. Apps & More Software Design, Inc. has announced Script Timer 2.6.3, a Mountain Lion compatible version of its popular script, Automator workflow, and application scheduling utility for Mac OS X. As well as being Mountain Lion compatible the new version has an updated user interface and addresses stability issues that were occurring in Lion. MacWise Version 14 Released -Terminal Emulation for Macintosh

Texas based Carnation Software has released MacWise version 14, an update to its terminal emulation software for Macintosh. MacWise allows a Macintosh to be used as a terminal, connected to a host computer directly, by modem, local area network or over the Internet with telnet or ssh secure shell. The app emulates ADDS Viewpoint, Wyse 50, Wyse 60, Wyse 370, Televideo TV 925, DEC VT100, VT220 and Prism terminals. This new verison is compatible with Mountain Lion installations. Continue reading

Virginia based St. Clair Software today announces App Tamer 1.3, an update to their Macintosh utility that automatically pauses applications to improve battery life and reduce CPU usage. App Tamer’s AutoStop capability automatically pauses applications when you switch away from them, and then restarts them when you click back to them. The new version of App Tamer offers better control of its AutoStop feature, fixes two problems with AutoStop, and adds support for AppleScript. Continue reading

Rob Lewis’s popular conversion program for importing contact information from the now-defunct Now Contact into Apple’s Address Book has moved to a new web address. The free trial is limited to 20 contacts. The full version is editable AppleScript and comes with simple, optional instructions for customizing the format of the converted contacts.
