Stockholm, Sweden – Epicore today is pleased to introduce Kids Canvas 1.4, for iPad. The Swedish iOS developer Epicore has done some research and believe that there is a lack of apps that effectively develop the children’s creativity. The children are usually forced into prefabricated themes and templates, limiting the true creative challenge. Epicore also believe that too much creative freedom is difficult to master, inhibiting creativity and playfulness. Epicore’s aim was to create an app that is fun for young and old, and that gives children the opportunity to express themselves according to their own ability.
Epicore decided to build an app called Kids Canvas, featuring timeless tools of expression such as perler beads, mosaic and embroidery. These provide a great amount of creative freedom while still making it easy to create beautiful pictures.
Kids Canvas Features:
* Ten creative techniques and growing
* Suitable for kids of all ages
* Completely free of advertising and in-app payments
* Easily share and collaborate via Email and Facebook
* Switch the technique of your picture at any time
* Save as many artworks as you like
* Available in English, German, Spanish, French and Swedish
Kids Canvas for iPad gives you a large suitcase full of creative tools and it’s as fun for a three year old as it is for a thirty year old. Anyone can create great works with perler beads, mosaic, marbles, candy and cross stitches. You can even paint with living ladybugs, each one with a mind of their own. The app lets you easily transform your work from one technique to another. If you made a nice mosaic for example, you can see how it would look as cross stitches or perler beads.
During the development of the app, Epicore began experimenting with the grid pattern normally used for mosaic and perler beads. They found that one can use the same model with paint splash and crayons, which are also included in the app. Then they found a way to make the color move, much like a cartoon. It’s hard to explain, but the painting comes to life while you’re painting and the kids love it!
Kids Canvas lets you save your work and continue whenever you want. You can save as many pictures as you like. Easily share your pictures via email and, if the recipient has Kids Canvas installed, they can open the image and collaborate.
Kids Canvas is to be used by a very young audience, so it is very easy to use and barely contains any text at all. The text content is available in English, German, French, Spanish and Swedish. The app comes fully functional and there are no ads, add-on features or hidden costs in the app, so parents can safely relax while their kids are painting.
* Compatible with iPad
* Requires iOS 4.0 or later
* 9.7 MB
Pricing and Availability:
Kids Canvas 1.4 is $1.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Education category.
