Brooklyn, New York – Jagimo! The Social Mashup today re-launched the mobile social network that plays like a game. Share ideas and photos with random people from around the world and enjoy the mashups. The re-launch adds social networking features and updates the current look-and-feel:
* Build your network: Follow people you like – and ignore others you don’t
* Ne parle pas anglais? No problemo. When international jagimers toss, you can translate the text into your own language
* Spotlighting the best: The most interesting jagimos are featured
* Color me: Enjoy new graphics and an interface that allows you to customize the look of Jagimo!
“This is a giant toss forward for Jagimo!,” says president and co-founder Erich Wood. “I think people will enjoy our new design and really like how we’ve implemented social networking features.”
Jagimo! is a great way to be spontaneous and interact with people from around the world. Toss a jagimo – random people catch it and add their own ideas and photos. Catch a jagimo – you have five minutes to retoss. Race against time, being as clever and creative as you can. Jump in – you don’t need friends or followers to enjoy Jagimo! Who you follow, or who follows you, is private. Meet new people from around the world. Translate international responses into your own language (up to 40 are available). The interaction among jagimers and the game-like atmosphere create a unique mobile community.
“Wonderful!!!!! Regional barriers are no more,” says experienced jagimer “amandeep.” “[Jagimo!] is a wonderful way of interacting with people around the world. It is very interesting mode of communication. Full points to [Jagimo!]“
Jagimer “batgirl” calls herself a “[Jagimo!] addict. I love this app! It’s like a social scavenger hunt of ideas. It’s a fun, easy, creative outlet that anyone can do.”
With the re-launch, Jagimo! now includes following and ignoring. People who follow each other have a better chance at catching each other’s jagimos. They can also ignore people who annoy them.
“Following allows for people to group together in loose form, without hurting the randomness of Jagimo!,” says Mr. Wood. “We want people to connect with new people, getting a sense of how people in different places react to different topics.”
The re-launch also features new branding as well as an enhanced design that allows people to change the color scheme of Jagimo! to fit their own tastes.
* iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad
* Requires iPhone OS 3.2 or later
