GetAppQuotes launches App School – Educates mobile app entrepreneurs

Chico, California – GetAppQuotes was started last December to help entrepreneurs with mobile app ideas connect with talented mobile developers. Building on features and helping entrepreneurs educate themselves on how the mobile app industry works, the site announced the launch of it’s very own App School today.

The goal of this App School is to help entrepreneurs successfully develop and sell mobile applications. Rather than teaching employers how to code a mobile app themselves, GetAppQuotes focuses more on the business aspect of app development. This includes information on how to communicate with a developer, how to beta test applications, how to market an application, and even how to submit applications to App Stores.

“We noticed that a lot of entrepreneurs really had no idea what went into developing a mobile applications and that is where the inspiration for our App School came from. There’s a lot of work that goes into developing an application even if your not coding it yourself. Were hoping our App School will help entrepreneurs manage the development process and successfully sell their application when its completed,” said GetAppQuotes founder and President Andrew Gazdecki.

GetAppQuotes works like this: Entrepreneurs with mobile app ideas post an app project with details of what they would like developed. This can range from a simple iPhone app that plays a fart sound or a complex Android game. Mobile developers then view these app projects and bid their development quote accordingly. The whole basis behind GetAppQuotes is that this type of open bidding of app projects helps development prices stay competitive, potentially saving employers thousands of dollars. GetAppQuotes also provides an outlet in which entrepreneurs can communicate with multiple developers helping them find the perfect match for their mobile app idea. Call it the eBay of mobile apps.

With more than 200,000 iPhone and Android apps to date, the site is focused on adding new tools to help entrepreneurs create quality apps and sell them successfully. The new section, App School, kicks off with categories including mobile app development, beta testing, marketing, pricing, and submitting to app stores.

“Were all about connecting entrepreneurs with the developers they need. GetAppQuotes is here to level the playing field for people with solid mobile app ideas but have no programming skills to create it themselves.”

In addition to their App School, GetAppQuotes is developing their very own iPhone app that will enable iPhone users to post projects and developers to bid on them – right from their iPhones. The expected launch date for this app is extremely soon and it is reported that it is currently awaiting approval from Apple.

“The future looks very promising for the mobile app industry. The market is expected to grow to 30 billion by 2013. That’s serious money. And we hope to help entrepreneurs get a piece of the action.”
